The 22-year-old attacking midfielder moves from SG Dynamo Dresden on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. Oliver Batista Meier joined SGD from FC Bayern Munich II in January 2022. The attacking player played 20 games in Dresden, in which he scored eight goals. From January 2023, Batista Meier played on loan for SC Verl. He scored nine goals and provided ten assists in 20 competitive matches for the third-division club in the current championship.

He is particularly characterized by his versatility, as he can not only play in midfield, but also on the right and left wing. I am convinced that we have found the right reinforcement in Oliver.
Batista Meier comes from Kaiserslautern and has both German and Brazilian citizenship. He began his football career at SV Wiesenthalerhof and made the leap to the youth section of 1. FC Kaiserslautern at an early age. At the age of 15, he transferred to FC Bayern Munich’s academy, for which he played a total of 99 games at U17 and U19 level, scoring 60 goals and providing 42 assists. The young midfielder also played at all levels of the German national U-team, from U15 to U20.
