Gabriel Vidović is moving on loan from FC Bayern to Vitesse Arnhem for one season. The 18-year-old attacking player joined the German record champions in 2016 and is now expected to develop further in the Dutch first division.
Hasan Salihamidžić, FC Bayern’s Sports Director: “Gabriel has proven with his good performances in preparation that he is rightly in our professional squad. We have now weighed up together what is best for his development and decided on a loan to Vitesse Arnhem. Gabriel has a better chance of playing regularly there. Arnhem is a highly respected European address for the development of talent. This is shown by examples like Mason Mount or Martin Ödegaard. We are sure that Gabriel will take the next step in Arnhem, and we will closely monitor his development there.”
Born in Augsburg, Gabriel Vidović has steadily developed season after season following his move to FC Bayern’s U15s, and has already appeared in four professional matches and 33 times for the second team, for which he has scored 21 goals. Last year, the long-time Croatian junior international made his debut for his country’s U21s. He scored one goal in four appearances so far in the U21 European Championship qualifiers.Mehr erfahren
